From this 'adventure" we learned a lot about rescue, in a different light. It is more than just "taking in" dogs but also about education and prevention. We wish to end puppy mills, support reputable breeders, and teach others why it's important to support those efforts. We will make a difference. This event, and it's ripple effect, changed the lives of many dogs. It changed ours too. We will continue to speak for those that cannot speak.

On December 2, 2016 we were presented with the John Herbert Phillips award - "given to persons who promote and teach kindness and compassion to animals" - at the Greater Birmingham Humane Society Auxiliary's Community Heroes Event. This was an incredible honor and we are just so thankful for everyone who shares in our mission and vision and makes our work PAWsible. Receiving this award is truly a highlight of our year and we are so grateful and so blessed.
